‘Clearing up the countryside’s cartridges one lamp at a time!’

It all started in 2013… trying to think of a way of re-purposing empty shotgun cartridges following the shooting season. By 2015 we had worked out how to drill glass at high speed and so we started making lamps for friends and family. After considerable persuasion, we offered a few lamps for sale and the rest, as they say is history.

A few years on, and we started getting requests for other items to be put in the demijohns and so we settled on wine corks and woollen pompoms. The latter being made from excess recycled wool from Nepal.  Each pompom is hand rolled, dyed and then dried by woman from small Himalayan villages.  The monies from the sale of these pompoms then goes back to supporting their families and young children in education.

Our ethos is still very much about reducing wastage and keeping our carbon footprint as small as possible. In making these lamps, we are trying to do our bit to help improve our environment and profits from the sales go towards planting more native hedgerows throughout the South of England.

We remain the original producers of these glass lamps and whilst a few companies imitate, few can prove they have the same ethical credentials along with a truly fantastic lamp!
